Six Things to know before you appear for the CA exam in the covid19 pandemic
Introduction: - You
might be studying hard every day to crack competitive exams. Chartered accountant exam is one of them; you have to study day and night to clear it. Since
people are passionate about this exam, they prepare for it for many years. But
the Covid-19 pandemic situation is changed our life. It has also impacted the
examination system. So you need to make up your mind on those sections while
you are preparing for these exams. ICAI has released few guidelines which you
have to maintain at any cost. They are quite strict this time:-
Covid-19 cases
Covid-19
is a terrible scenario in today's world. It has also affected and changed the
CA exam system this time as well. As per the guidelines of ICAI, only
candidates who are Covid negative will be allowed to appear in this exam. As
the exam dates are coming close, the Covid test is done a few days before.
Carry the test report with yourself to the examination centre. A candidate who
is tested positive will not be allowed to sit in the examination. Check the
official website to upload the report with some specific points mentioned in
the reports.
Exam centre
This
has been a doubt which every student has. There is a rumour for the last few
months in social media that the centres have been changes. In few cities like
Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmadabad, they are switching to places. They are due to some
unavoidable scenarios. Every candidate will get a notification depending on it,
so no need to worry about that. Some students travel a lot to study and take
exams. That is a big issue, but no one can't do anything about it. Following
all the guidelines is the only option.
No online exams
At
first, there was a public request to conduct the exams online via remote
proctoring. But according to the exam pattern, ICAI has informed that, it is
not possible. Every candidate has to wait for their turn as they are worked day
and night to crack this exam. So be patient and proper for the test. Everything
will go smooth and steady. Wait for the final date announcements, which will be
mentioned in your admit cards.
Mandatory points
There
are certain things that every candidate appearing for the exam has to follow. Try
to reach the exam place before the time which is mentioned on the admit card.
You will get enough time for document checking and other security checks.
Carrying all the exam-related documents along with admitting card and wearing a
face mask is mandatory. It will be best if you have a double mask. If you are
carrying a water bottle, it should be transparent and clear. Make sure you
don't have any Covid related symptoms before you appear for the exam. Maintain
social distancing in the exam line. No candidate should carry any books, exam
notes and bags. The candidate will be terminated from the exam if anything is
found. No electronic gadget is allowed in the hall as well.
Restrictions
Wearing
a facemask is mandatory in the exam hall, and no candidate is allowed to open
it until the time of face recognition. Always sit on the exam table, which has
your registration number; it has been arranged to maintain social distancing.
Don't throw your mask and gloves anywhere in the hall. You can dump it into the
dustbins, which will be outside the halls. Carry all your belongings which contain
a pen, pencil, eraser, ruler and calculator. Bring a calculator, which is
allowed in the exams. Any other specification calculator will be seized. If
your mask is not properly working, then ask for a mask to the invigilator. No
candidate will be allowed before the exam at 4.00 p.m.
Candidates with disability
If
someone has any disability then he/she has to follow certain guidelines. This
act will be needed to have valid documentation. The first thing is to get a
certificate from the government authorized civil surgeon. The certificate
should specify the cause and all the problems of disability. These are few
things which you should follow if you are going to appear for the chartered
accountant exams. As this is one of the toughest exams in the country, you will
need to prepare well. As the exam dates come to closure, candidates get into
tension. Try to divert your mind into different sides. Try doing some physical
activities and eat healthy foods. It would be best if you avoided getting any Covid
related symptoms. They will be checked at the time you enter the examination
hall.
Conclusion: -
Check all the
important dates and write them down in the place of your study table. So that
you don’t get confused. But you should also check their official websites if
they have done any changes to their guidelines. It would be best if you also
travelled to the exam centre, few days before to know the place exactly. You
can save time on that. Carry a bottle of sanitiser to the hall and keep it in
your bag before entering the hall. Avoiding public transport will be the best
option, to not get infected with the virus. As the exam dates are coming
closure, we hope that you have done your paperwork properly.
